Who we are
DWsnap Limited is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. This notice explains how we handle information when you visit our website or contact us about our services.
Privacy contact: info@DWsnap.com.
Information we collect
If you contact us by email or through our contact form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address and message. Please include only information relevant to your enquiry.
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Visiting the site can involve collection of your IP address, browser and device information, and details of pages you visit. Squarespace uses technical information to operate and protect its platform. Our current configuration also enables Squarespace analytics and its activity log.
Why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond to questions, discuss potential work and manage business relationships. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where that basis applies. We may also need to process information to meet a legal obligation.
Cookies and website analytics
Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies for website operation and, depending on site settings and visitor choices, analytics. Essential cookies support necessary website functions. Analytics cookies measure visits and how the site is used.
See Squarespace’s cookie information for details of its cookies.
Who receives information
Squarespace hosts our website and processes messages submitted through our contact form. Microsoft 365 provides our email service and processes messages sent to info@DWsnap.com. We use these services to receive, store and respond to your enquiry.
Our service providers may process information in countries outside the UK. Information about their processing and international transfer safeguards is available in the Squarespace Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can contact us for further information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is needed to respond to the enquiry, carry out relevant follow-up or meet legal obligations. In deciding how long to keep it, we consider whether the enquiry is still active, whether further contact is reasonably expected and whether records are needed for a legal obligation or claim. If an enquiry develops into a client relationship, relevant records are kept for the relationship and any applicable legal retention requirements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data protection law.
Contact us using the privacy address above to make a request. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
